ARE YOUR LEAKY DUCTS MAKING YOU SICK?

YES. The Oregon Office of Energy and the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance state that leaky ductwork can make you sick because they draw pollutants into the home and the air you breathe from crawlspaces and other building cavities. These pollutants include fiberglass, dust, and mold; all of which irritate the respiratory system. They can also create a negative pressure in you home and draw combustion gases into your home from fireplaces, natural gas appliances, exhaust fumes, and wood stoves.
